For years, we’ve had a familiar picture of what it looks like to unwind at the end of the day.
Pour a glass of wine.
Make a cocktail.
Meet friends for happy hour.
Alcohol has become so connected to adult social life that we rarely think twice about it.
But what if wine simply isn’t your thing?
More adults are becoming curious about what else an evening ritual can look like — including hemp-derived THC.
And maybe it’s time we talked about that.
When Did Wine Become the Default?
Think about the messages we see everywhere.
Wine Wednesday.
Mommy needs wine.
Rosé all day.
A glass of wine after a long day is often treated as completely ordinary. It can be part of dinner, a date night, a girls' night, or simply sitting on the couch after everything is finally done.
THC hasn't traditionally been given that same social acceptance.
Someone can say, “I’m going home to have a glass of wine,” without anyone thinking much about it.
Replace glass of wine with an infused cookie, though, and suddenly it can feel like a much bigger statement.
Why?
A lot of that comes back to the stigma surrounding cannabis and the way generations of Americans were taught to think about it.
But those attitudes are beginning to change.
A New Kind of Adult Consumer
Today's THC consumer doesn't necessarily fit the old cannabis stereotypes.
You might be a parent.
A professional.
A business owner.
Someone who rarely drinks.
Someone who has never stepped foot inside a dispensary.
Or simply someone who is curious.
You don't have to identify as a “cannabis person” to be interested in an infused product.
And you certainly don't need to build your identity around consuming THC.
Sometimes, a cookie can simply be a cookie — made for adults.
So...Could an Infused Cookie Be the New Nightcap?
For some adults, perhaps.
Not because THC and alcohol are interchangeable. They aren't. They affect the body differently, and both deserve thoughtful, responsible use.
But the ritual is interesting.
There is something nice about marking the end of your day.
Changing out of your work clothes.
Putting your phone down.
Turning on a favorite show.
Opening a book.
Sitting outside.
Enjoying something delicious.
Your nightcap doesn't necessarily have to come in a wine glass.
For adults who choose to consume THC, an infused cookie can become part of an intentional evening — without needing to look anything like traditional cannabis culture.
The Experience Can Be Sophisticated
This is a big part of why we created The Infused Kitchen Co.
We didn't want to make another edible that felt like something you bought solely for the THC.
We're an artisan bakery.
We wanted to make a genuinely delicious cookie that also happens to be infused.
That means thoughtfully selected ingredients, small-batch baking, premium chocolate, freshly ground peanut butter, and recipes created with the cookie itself at the center.
And instead of the traditional “weed taste” people may associate with edibles, our cookies are designed to taste like what they are:
Really good cookies.
The infusion is part of the experience. It doesn't have to define the experience.
Being Curious Doesn't Mean Being Careless
Changing the stigma around THC doesn't mean ignoring responsible use.
Quite the opposite.
If infused products are going to become part of modern adult culture, education needs to come with them.
Know your serving size.
Give edibles time before consuming more.
Don't drive or operate machinery after consuming THC.
Don't combine THC with alcohol simply because you're replacing your usual nightcap.
And always keep infused products securely stored away from children and pets.
If you're new to THC, there is no prize for consuming more. Starting with a smaller amount and learning how your individual body responds is the more thoughtful approach.
Maybe Your Nightcap Doesn't Need a Glass
We're not here to tell anyone to stop drinking wine.
We're also not here to tell everyone they should consume THC.
We're here because we think adults deserve options — and good information about those options.
For some people, the perfect end to an evening might still be a glass of Cabernet.
For someone else, it might be tea.
And for another adult?
Maybe it's half of a really incredible chocolate chip cookie.
No judgment. No outdated stereotypes. No need to fit into traditional cannabis culture.
Just adults making thoughtful choices about what works for them.
Maybe it's time we expanded our idea of what a nightcap can be.
